The 2024 BOSS Summer Academy gave boys from Long Beach, Los Angeles, and surrounding communities an unforgettable head start—academically, mentally, and personally. Guided by the six BOSS Pillars—Mental, Emotional, Physical, Social, Economic, and Spiritual—each day blended rigorous learning with real-world lessons in leadership, wellness, and teamwork.
In addition to career exploration, fitness sessions, and emotional-wellness talks, scholars participated in pre-teaching workshops for the math and language arts courses they would take in the fall, ensuring they entered the school year confident and prepared. From coding labs and financial literacy games to sports-science workouts and mentorship circles, every activity was designed to sharpen both mind and character.
