BOSS Academic Coaches
BOSS instills a mindset within our boys that advances both individual excellence and team mastery. The BOSS values are embedded in all that we do, fostering our boys’ intellectual, physical, and emotional well-being. The mission of BOSS is to inspire, equip and empower under-resourced boys to be transformed by teaching foundational principles and showcasing excellence, moving them from spectator to driver in their life’s journey.
We believe in the power of the “Train the Trainer” strategy to empower and equip the boys we serve with our pillars and Good to Great principles. As an Academic Coach, you will play a vital role in this transformative process, helping the boys internalize these principles and apply them to their lives.
Our Coaches, typically college upperclassmen, grad students, or recent graduates, also have the unique opportunity to be immersed in our pillars and principles. You will gain exposure to a wealth of knowledge, activities, and programming designed to facilitate your development.
Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director, the Academic Coach will act as a mentor and motivator, fostering an environment that encourages growth, participation, and learning, while keeping the students’ best interests at heart. The Academic Coach is also responsible for closely tracking the students’ academic progression through licensed academic platforms and notifying students of ways to participate in BOSS events.
